Dr Joan's Healthcare Review

Dr Joan's Healthcare Review

Newsletters on Healthcare by Dr. Joan
Joan MacEachen MD, MPH
I have worked as a Family Medicine physician with Indian Health Service for 37 years. I provided health care for the Southern Ute tribe in Ignacio, CO for 16 years, and for several Alaska and Arizona Native clinics and hospitals. I have also worked in Community Access clinics.
My Masters degree is in international public health and I worked in New Zealand for 6 years.
I have been able to compare firsthand the benefits and weakness of the current
healthcare system in the United States and am convinced that healthcare does not respond to capitalist market rules, and should be replaced by a single payer system.
